Accessibility Statement
SwapSlabs aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This statement describes what is in place, what still has gaps, and how to reach the team about accessibility.
Last updated August 31, 2026 · Version 2026-09-30
Our commitment
SwapSlabs aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. The target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Accessibility is treated as part of building each feature, not a later cleanup. This statement is reviewed when the product changes materially.
What is in place
- Semantic HTML landmarks and headings, and labels on form fields
- Keyboard access to interactive controls, with a visible focus outline
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting — animations are disabled when it is on
- Disclosure content (such as the FAQ) works without JavaScript as native details/summary elements
- Color choices intended to meet AA contrast in both light and dark themes
- Alt text on card and content images, and text alternatives for status information
Known limitations
Some areas are still being improved:
- The live swap-builder value animations and the fairness gauge may not announce every incremental update to assistive technology
- The camera-based certification scanner depends on the browser's barcode support and always offers manual entry as an alternative
- Some data tables and charts (valuation history, fee breakdowns) need better programmatic summaries
- Third-party embedded flows — Stripe payment and identity-verification screens — follow those providers' own accessibility support
- PDF and image documents provided by members are not guaranteed to be accessible
Third-party content
Member-supplied photos and text, and provider-hosted screens for payment and identity verification, are outside SwapSlabs's direct control. SwapSlabs chooses providers with accessibility support and will help you complete a task another way where it can.
Feedback and getting help
If you hit an accessibility barrier, or need help completing something on SwapSlabs, contact accessibility@swapslabs.example and describe the page and the problem. SwapSlabs aims to acknowledge accessibility feedback promptly and to offer an alternative way to complete the task while a fix is in progress.
[PLACEHOLDER — confirm the accessibility contact address, the response-time commitment, and whether a formal third-party audit / VPAT will be published, before launch.]
