The basics
Deal honestly, describe cards accurately, ship promptly, and communicate. These guidelines are part of the Terms of Service and sit alongside the Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use. They apply to every interaction on SwapSlabs.
Messaging
- Keep negotiation and deal logistics on SwapSlabs so there is a record and the Guarantee applies
- Be responsive — answer questions about a listing and give shipping updates
- No spam, no unsolicited bulk offers, no attempts to move a paid or accepted deal off-platform
- No abusive, threatening, hateful, or sexually explicit messages, and no sharing of another person's private information
- Do not pressure someone into a trade, misstate scarcity or value, or use a bait-and-switch
Ratings and reviews
- Rate only real, completed transactions, and base your review on that specific deal
- Be specific and fair — describe what happened, not personal attacks
- No paid, traded, or coordinated reviews, and no creating accounts to inflate or attack a rating
- Do not threaten a negative review to extract something the deal did not include
- If you received a review you think is unfair, use the public reply and the report control rather than retaliating
Disputes
If a deal goes wrong, raise it with the other member first, then open a dispute if needed. Submit truthful evidence, respond to requests within the window, and do not fabricate or alter photos, tracking, or messages. Filing a knowingly false dispute, or refusing to return an item after a reversal, is a serious violation.
Harassment, hate, and threats
Harassment, hate speech, threats of violence, stalking, and doxxing are never allowed, on or off the platform where it concerns a SwapSlabs member or deal. SwapSlabs removes this content, may suspend or ban the account, and refers credible threats to law enforcement.
Consequences
Violations lead to content removal, warnings, feature limits, suppressed ratings, suspension, or a permanent ban, in proportion to the conduct and the account's history. Serious or repeated violations skip straight to suspension.
